Warren, OH The Duttons, an amazingly talented family of top-notch musicians, performed an outstanding concert in Warren on Wednesday evening, April 18 at the Packard Music Hall. They were presented by the Warren Civic Music Association.
The Duttons, awarded Best Show in Branson, Missouri as well as one of the Top Ten Finalists of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” were an instant favorite of the sold out crowd of over 2300 patrons.
“This is a show we definitely want back,” was echoed again and again by enthusiastic audience members in the lobby after the show.
“One minute was laughing, the next I was crying,” said one grey-haired gentleman. “I have never been so moved by a performance in my life.”
Highlights included the hilarious antics of the Duttons’ cousin, Julio with his “horn suit,” the stirring patriotic medley, Amy’s amazing violin virtuosity, and the Dutton grandchildren singing, “Grandpa, Tell Me ‘Bout the Good Old Days,” as Grandpa Dean held the littlest ones on his lap.
The Warren Civic Music Association is an all-volunteer organization, with no paid staff, and has been presenting concerts in Warren for over 70 years. “The hospitality of this wonderful organization was very much appreciated by our family,” said Mr. Dutton. “Ellie Monchak and Jean Potashnick and their committee really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Everyone in Warren treated us in such a lovely fashion, from the Avalon Inn to our superb meals. Obviously, President Robert Balson and his organization are doing things right.”
The PAckard Music Hall was built over 55 years ago by the Packard Family of Packard Luxery Cars, which discontinued production in the 1950’s.
